About us

We are a warm and welcoming church in Blackheath in the beautiful Upper Blue Mountains, NSW. A vibrant spiritual community celebrates Sunday worship at 10.30 AM.

There are also usually Reflections Group meetings at 10.30 AM on the first and third Tuesdays of each month and Uniting in Prayer meetings at 10.30 AM on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

To keep us & you safe, we have put in place a safety plan to observe NSW Government regulations and enable us to meet while observing safe distancing. Please see our COVID-19 Safety page for details.

The church has wonderful acoustics and is perfect for concerts such as the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and the Song Company. We also host several other regular community events in our church hall (currently suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions).

Our church is heritage listed and was built in 1923 to a design by architect Alfred G Newman. The construction was supervised by George Phillips who also built the historic Glenella Guest House opposite the church on Govetts Leap Road. The church was originally a Methodist Church but became a Uniting Church in 1977.
